Man suffers face trauma at party, in 'guarded' condition

A 22-year-old man is reported to be in "guarded" condition at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster after he suffered major trauma to his face at a residence located at 20401 Bell Court in Golden Hills.

Kern County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the address at about 10:31 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, after a report of peace disturbance, according to a news release issued early Sunday morning.

Upon arrival deputies found a large party taking place at the residence and 22-yea-old party goer, Jose Lopez, was found nearby, suffering from major trauma to his face. Lopez was airlifted to Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster.

Detectives responded to the Tehachapi residence and initiated an investigation, which is ongoing.
