Activity reported by the Tehachapi Police Dept.:

09:21 VICIOUS, BARKING, BITE, ETC.Occurred on Meadowbrook Court,Tehachapi. Possibly verbal assault two full size dogs loose freely in the streets extremely vicious toward foot traffic. One full sized black dog and one full sized German Shepherd. Owners not on scene. Disposition: No Further Action Required

12:38 PETTY THEFT LESS THAN $400.00 Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East F St. , Tehachapi. Reporting party had Ipod stolen from ALL AMERICAN TIRE, Disposition: report taken.

13:22 DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE Occurred at E Tehachapi Blvd. and South Robinson St, Tehachapi, at D Street and Curry, driver threw a beer can out of the vehicle. Turned on Robinson approaching Tehachapi Boulevard turned north bound onto Tehachapi Blvd. transferred from CHP. Disposition: Unable to locate.

16:31 AUTO ACCIDENT, NO INJURIES or PROPERTY damage, Occurred at Starbucks Coffee 8726 Tucker Rd., Tehachapi. Two vehicles no injuries reported One is in a gray Kia Optima rental vehicle. The second vehicle is a burgundy Honda Accord. Disposition: Information Only

19:31 STOLEN VEHICLE Occurred on South Curry St, Tehachapi. Service of Class: Residence Reporting party states her neighbor's older model (early to late 90s) vehicle was stolen from the parking lot. Left towards Kmart. Reporting party attempted to contact resident. Disposition: Arrest Made. This was not a stolen vehicle, Ex-husband took car with wife's permission. Arrest was for false registration tags.

20:01 MISSING PERSON Occurred on Black Oak Dr., Tehachapi. Randy Cody a white male age 15, 5 foot 5 inches, weighing 140 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes, last seen at 4:30 a.m., unknown clothing. Subject left a note stating he was going to the skate park and has not returned. Disposition: Report taken.

21:27 DISTURBING THE PEACE Occurred at Four Seasons Trailer Park on West J St., Tehachapi. Female called and stated a black male on a bicycle arrived at the residence causing a disturbance reporting party was uncooperative and refused to give further information. Disposition: Checks Ok.

21:57 BURGLARY; INHABITED Occurred on North Dennison Rd, Tehachapi, Service Class: Residence in progress, reporting party stated someone broke her back door down at Dennison and Goodrich, upon callback, reporting party does not answer. Disposition: Report Taken. Attempted forced entry through door while resident was at home. Extensive area search with K-9 and Kern County Sheriffs Office air unit. No suspect located.

22:21 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred at Texaco on Capital Hills Parkway, Tehachapi. Two subjects parked to the back of the gas station watching people at the pumps. Disposition: Officer checked the two subjects and they were advised to leave area.

23:15 HAZARDOUS MATERIAL Occurred on Linden Ct, Tehachapi. Anonymous report of chemical smell fire, requesting officer checked out the area to determine if a search warrant is needed,window is wide open and people were fidgety inside. Disposition: Information Only.

01:15 PETTY THEFT LESS THAN $400.00 Occurred at Circle K on East Tehachapi Blvd., Tehachapi. Reporting party states a male subject is attempting to steal a lighter. White Male blue beanie, green jacket, crutches. The subject returned lighter and was removed from store by employee. Disposition: Assignment Completed.

04:57 ASSIST OTHER AGENCIES Occurred on Oak Knoll Dr, Tehachapi. Disturbance, white male 25 years of age refusing to leave. Disposition: Gone On Arrival.

07:24 VANDALISM AGAINST PERSON OR PROPERTY OF ANOTHER Occurred at West Park on West D St., Tehachapi. Vandalism to the restrooms Disposition: Report Taken.

Bear Valley Police Department: Nothing to report

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing to report

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: KCSO assisted Tehachapi Police Department with helicopter, in possible burglary search.

California Highway Patrol: CHP: On Jan. 21, at approximately 6:55 p.m., Rosamond resident Dennis Bishop was walking southbound on 20th street west. Bishop age 64, was walking along the right side of the roadway near Colleen Drive when he was struck by a vehicle traveling in the same direction. The 2004 Toyota pick up was driven by Daniel Edmonson also of Rosamond. Edmonson was uninjured as a result of the collision. Mr. Bishop received critical injuries as a result of this collision and was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital by Hall Ambulance. The use of alcohol or drugs does not appear to be a factor in this collision.

The National Weather Service in Hanford provides the following forecast for the Tehachap area:

• This afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 64. East northeast wind around 10 mph.
• Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 38. Calm wind.
• Tomorrow: Partly sunny, with a high near 64. Calm wind becoming east northeast around 5 mph in the morning.
• Tomorrow Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
• Clouds expected to move in on Wednesday, partly cloudy Thursday and Friday with chance of rain Saturday, increasing on Sunday.

CIVIC CALENDAR

Tehachapi City Council meeting originally set for Monday, Jan. 21,  has been moved to Tuesday, Jan. 22,
due to the Martin Luther King Day holiday.

Parent meeting / presentation about new 6-12 grade curriculum, Tuesday, Jan. 22, 6 p.m., at Tehachapi High School.

• Bear Valley CSD Finance Committee meeting 1:30 today at the CSD building.

• Stallion Springs POA meeting tonight at 7: p.m. At the Community Center. Tehachapi Community Development Director David James will be the guest speaker.
