Tehachapi Police Department:

Oct. 14, 2013

9:46 a.m. Hit and run occurred on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Employee advised two vehicles hit each other in the parking lot. Disposition: Report taken.

9:51 a.m. Traffic accident occurred at West Valley Boulevrad and Cummings Valley Road. E911 call, one vehicle accident,  grey vehicle with possible injuries. Disposition: Checks OK.

1:32 p.m. Vicious, barking, bite occurred at North Mojave Street and East "I" Street. Small black and white dog running loose. Disposition: Turn over to other agency.

4:45 p.m. Disturbing the peace. Officer initiated activity on West "E" Street. Disposition: Assisted.

7:15 p.m. Traffic hazzard occurred at Pinon Street and South Curry Street. 3 juveniles in costumes playing "chicken" with cars. Disposition: Advised.

Oct. 15, 2013

1 a.m. Suspicious circumstances occurred at East "F" Street and South Mojave Street. Female heard screaming. Disposition: Unable to locate.

Bear Valley Springs Police Department:

Oct. 14, 2013

9:30 a.m. Animal call occurred on Fox Ridge Court. Bull in yard, owner might be on Black Oak. Disposition: Situation Resolved.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation:

Deputies responded to 14 incidents between Oct. 14 and the morning of Oct. 15.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.

California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.

The National Weather Service in Hanford provides the following forecast for the Tehachapi area:

This afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 66. East wind 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 40. Breezy, with an east wind 10 to 20 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 66. East southeast wind 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 42. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph after midnight.

The weather should remain clear, with higs in the mid-60s an lows in the low 40s through the end of the week.

• The Tehachapi Planning Commission's meeting scheduled for Monday, Oct. 14, has been adjourned until Tuesday, Nov. 12. The November meeting was moved to Tuesday in observance of Veteran's Day.

• The Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks Dept. board of directors will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the district headquarters, 490 W. "D" St.

* Directors for thte Tehachapi-Cummings County Water District will meet at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the district headquarters, 22901 Banduccci Road.

• On Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Tehachapi Valley Heathcare District board of directors will meet at the Golden Hills Community Services District, 21415 Reeves St., at 6 p.m.

• The Golden Hills CSD board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, inside the CSD building, 21415 Reeves St.

• Stallion Springs Community Services District's board of directors will meet Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. in the CSD multipurpose building, 27800 Stallion Springs Drive.
