The latest news - The Tehachapi City Council will hold its regular meeting Monday, Dec. 16, at the Wells Education Center. The meeting starts at 6 p.m., and agenda topics include discussions on street improvements to Curry Road.

Tehachapi Police Department:
Dec. 12, 20135:02 p.m. Disturbing the peace occurred at Love's Truck Stop on E Tehachapi Boulevard. Truck driver making threats to other customers, also parked illegally. Disposition: Advised
7:42 a.m. Petty theft report occurred on Norh Mill Street. Backpack was stolen from Regional Transit Bus. Disposition: Report taken.
9:13 a.m. Health and safety: Officer initiated activity at Monroe High School. Student under the influence. Disposition: Arrest made.
10:52 a.m. Disturbing the peace occurred on North Mill Street. Adult male breaking things in apartment. Disposition: Assisted.
11:42 a.m. Hit and run, property occurred on East "E" Street. Motor home backed into fence. Disposition: Arrest made.
12:57 p.m. Petty theft less than $400 occurred at Love's Truck Stop. Reporting party believes wallet was stolen. Disposition: Report taken.
1:06 p.m. Disturbing the peace occurred on Arabian Drive. Male hiding from his father in a bush at the back of the property. Father threatened to get his gun and said that reporting party was a "dead man." Disposition: Situation resolved.
3:38 p.m. Warrant service occurred at Tehachapi Police Department. Disposition: Arrest made.
4:01 p.m. Battery reported at Tehachapi Police Department. Disposition: Arrest made.
11:29 p.m. Health and safety: Officer initiated activity at Tucker Road and West Tehachapi Boulevard. Disposition: Arrest made.
Bear Valley Springs Police Department:
Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation:
Between Dec. 12 and the morning of Dec. 13, the Kern County Sheriff's Department responded to 20 incidents, including a supisious person in Golden Hills.
Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.
California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.
Today: Sunny, with a high near 51. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 33. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 53. East southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Friday night: Clear, with a low around 35. East southeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Going into the weekend, skies should remain clear with lows in the 30s and highs nearing 60.
