State Senator Jean Fuller joined local Tehachapi business owners at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon Tuesday, July 16, held at Don Juan's, 20700 South St.

The senator gave an overview of her duties and explained how honored she was to have been able to help pass 30 legislative laws since she has been in office.

"It is an honor to have been asked to preside over the state senate floor," she said. "I am the first Republican to be in this position in 15 years."

Fuller added that she thought it was nice to be a respected Republican in a state dominated by Democrats.

Fuller, who welcomes any of her constituents to contact her, stated that she is pleased to be representing Kern County and the other areas of the 18th district.

Senator Fuller can be reached at Senator.Fuller@Sen.Ca.Gov or by phone at 661-323-0443. Representatives from her office are in Tehachapi at the Chamber of Commerce office, 209 E. Tehachapi Blvd., on the third Tuesday of each month, 10 until 11 a.m. except for the month of August, due to Mountain Festival.
