Tehachapi Police Sgt. Kevin Paille said the department received a report Tuesday morning of vandals striking the drive-through automated teller machine at Bank of the Sierra, 224 W. "F" St.

Matt Hessler, director of marketing for the bank, confirmed the incident.

"Someone super-glued the keypad and made it inoperable," he said. "We hope to have it fixed within 24 hours."

Around noon on Tuesday, technician Noel Cardenas of Financial Technology Solutions was already repairing the machine.

An estimate on the cost of repairs was not available Tuesday afternoon.

Hessler said an ATM is available to customers at the 21000 Mission St. location.
