The Latest News — Spring registration for programs at Tehachapi Parks and Recreation District. The spring line-up includes boys and girls tee-ball, a soccer academy for 5 through 12-year olds, a children's swim team and instructional volleyball, adult men's basketball and softball. 07:54 BURGLARY; INHABITED; Officers followed tracks in the mud to a vacant home on North Mojave St. and recovered the motorcycle that was stolen from East "I" St. Disposition: A 15- year-old juvenile was arrested for burglary and auto theft.
11:30 PETTY THEFT LESS THAN $400.00; Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East “F” St. Checks stolen from reporting persons residence. Disposition: Report taken.
12:36 UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA; Occurred at Jacobsen Middle School on Anita Dr., Principal has student in office states he is in possession of marijuana. Disposition: Advised.
12:53 FOUND PROPERTY; Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" St.. Found wallet. Disposition: Report taken.
13:12 THREATS DEATH/BODILY INJURY; Occurred at Sharing And Caring on South Pauley St., White female, late 30's, short blond hair, 5'2", wearing pajamas, right in front of the property, making verbal threats, unknown weapons, parties have separated, female still on scene. . Disposition: Assisted.
15:42 UNAUTHORIZED USE OF PERSONAL INFO; Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" St., I.D. Theft via Internet. Disposition: Report taken.
15:42 AUTO ACCIDENT - NO INJURIES/PROPERTY; Occurred at Capital Hills on Capital Hills Parkway. Black Nissan vs. black Elantra. Disposition: Report taken.
20:58 RECKLESS DRIVING; Occurred at Albertsons on Tucker Rd. Three vehicles driving recklessly in parking lot. Description of vehicles- small white coupe, 2nd -dark green or dark-blue, 3rd unknown description. Also there are juveniles that are in parking in the lot toward the Caldwell banker loitering. Reporting party wishes no contact. Disposition: Checks Ok.
21:11 BURGLARY; INHABITED; Occurred on Miller Ln. someone is attempting enter victim's home knocking very loudly and the doorknob is moving. Reporting party cannot see whom it is, Disposition: Negative contact.
12:33 FOLLOW UP; Occurred on North Mojave St. Requesting officer follow-up for juvenile who has returned home. Disposition: Information only
13:13 PETTY THEFT LESS THAN $400.00; Occurred on South Pauley St. Bicycle has been taken from victim's garage. Last seen evening hours 01/25/2013. Disposition: Report taken.
13:33 BURGLARY; INHABITED; Occurred on East “E” St. Transfer from CHP. Reporting party states the front door was opened when they arrived, boyfriend is inside checking. Son of deceased owner's son states it appears to have opened with a key. Went through everything again. Disposition: Information only. An arrest was previously made for a burglary at this home and property was recovered. No loss this time, no report taken.
21:41 SEX REGISTRANT; Occurred on East “E” St. Possible registration violation. A sex offender via Facebook has contacted reporting party says her son. Disposition: Report taken. This case has been unfounded at this time. The potential suspect was interviewed and it does not appear that he had possession of the phone at the time the message was sent, nor does it appear that the suspect even has a Facebook account. Investigation continuing.
23:43 VANDALISM AGAINST PERSON OR PROPERTY OF ANOTHER; Occurred at USA Gas on Tucker Rd. to a green Chevy pick up. Butter smeared all over vehicle. Suspect is an Albertson's employee. Disposition: Assignment completed.
00:45 DISTURBING THE PEACE; Occurred at South Curry St. and West “E” St. Loud music in the apartments on the corner. Disposition: Quiet on departure.
03:47 ASSIST OTHER AGENCIES; Occurred at Tehachapi Hospital on West “E” St., CHP with a disturbance. Disposition: Assisted.
05:19 PETTY THEFT LESS THAN $400.00; Occurred at Circle K on East Tehachapi Blvd. Hispanic female took gloves and put them in her pocket. Female still on scene, brown hair, glasses wearing black jacket. Disposition: Situation resolved.
05:58 BURGLARY; INHABITED; Occurred on South Hayes St. Past occurred, forced entry to two back doors, unknown what was taken. Disposition: Report taken. Uninhabited residence. No apparent loss.
14:54 ANIMAL CALL; Occurred on Arabian Dr. Service Class: Resident has cattle in her yard/ she is on the west side of the cemetery. Disposition: Turn over to animal control.
17:19 KEEP THE PEACE; Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East “F” St. Child custody exchange. Disposition: Situation resolved.
02:24 TRESPASSING; Occurred at Tehachapi Hospital on West "E" St. Person in ER reports subject loitering and is refusing to leave the building. Disposition: Situation resolved.
03:11 OPEN DOOR/WINDOW; Officer initiated activity at Airport, North Hayes St. To a hanger. Disposition: Checks Ok.
05:26 ASSIST OTHER AGENCIES; Occurred on Golden Hills Blvd. Disturbance, verbal between male and female who is described as 26 years old and medium built. Per Kern County Sheriff's Office, the reporting party was being uncooperative. Disposition: assisted.
Stallion Springs Police Department:
13:30 A vehicle traveling on Banducci Road crossed over onto the wrong side of the road and caused a Stallion Springs police officer in the oncoming lane to avoid a head on collision by veering onto the shoulder. The adult female driver of the vehicle, Brandy Walker, was placed under arrest for driving under a suspended driver's license and her vehicle was impounded.

• This afternoon: Partly sunny with a high near 39 and wind gusts as high as 20 mph.
• Tonight: Partly cloudy and cold with a low around 25 and light wind.
• Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 49 and winds up to 15 mph.
• Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 58 and breezy.
• This weekend: Mostly sunny with a high near 57 through Friday with a 20 percent chance of more rain showers returning by Saturday night through Sunday afternoon.

The Tehachapi Healthcare District Board of Directors has canceled its regular scheduled meeting for February 20 and has scheduled two special board meetings for Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. and Monday Feb. 11 at 6 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District main conference room at 115 West "E" St.
