Burglary at post office under investigation

The Tehachapi Post Office has reopened after being temporarily closed this morning as the Postal Inspector investigates a burglary.
Earlier today the Tehachapi Police Dept. reported that forced entry was made into several of the parcel boxes (for oversize items) in the lobby.
The regular post office boxes do not appear to have been tampered with.
A postal employee said the counter cannot be opened until the postal inspector completes the investigation.
An update will be posted when more information is available.
