The latest news - Both the girls and boys basketball teams won their games last night. Boys basketball won last night 70-46 over Mira Monte and will play no.1 seed Independence tonight in Vakersfield at 7 p.m. Girls basketball won last night 43-33 over Shafter and will play at no. 2 seed Hanford West on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7p.m.

This afternoon:  Sunny, with a high near 51. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 36. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. Windy, with a west northwest wind 25 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

Saturday: Night Mostly clear, with a low around 36. Windy, with a northwest wind 20 to 30 mph becoming north 10 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 47. Breezy, with a east northeast wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 36. East northeast wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

CIVIC CALENDAR

THS School Site Council Meeting originally scheduled for this Thursday, Feb. 21 has been postponed to next Thursday, Feb. 28 in the THS Administration Building Conference Room at 1 p.m.

The Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks District's February Board of Director’s meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19, has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 5:30 p.m. at the TVRPD office, 490 W. "D" St.

A CERT training course in Evacuation & Traffic Control Training will be held Saturday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. at the Kern County Fire Dept "Wildland Fire Camp #8" 20569 Eumatilla St. and E. Tehachapi Blvd., the old Monroe HS property, across from the Cement Plant.

The Bear Valley Liaison committee will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 9 a.m. at the Bear Valley CSD building.

Stallion Springs Property Owners Association will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at the Community Center.

Boys Baseball – Varsity/Jayvee at Terrio Therapy Spring Classic in Bakersfield on Saturday, Feb. 23. First game against Liberty at 10 a.m. and second game against Stockdale at 2 p.m.

Wrestling – Varsity at Central Section Masters Championships at Mt. Whitney HS on Friday-Saturday, Feb. 22-23.
