The latest news - Tehachapi public schools opened two hours later than usual this morning due to icy roads. Schools were closed Monday and Tuesday due to last Saturday's storm, which brought in close to five inches of snow. Read more HERE.

Tehachapi Police Department:
TPD reported 41 incidents between Dec. 10 and the morning of Dec. 11, including the following:1:58 p.m. Threats of death or bodily injury. Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" Street. Verbal threats. Disposition: Civil Problem.
11:34 p.m. Threats of death or bodily injury. Occurred on Oakwood Street. 3 subjects outside reporting person's home, chased him inside made 422's. Disposition: Report Taken.
6:17 p.m. Reckless driving. Occurred on Valerie Lane. Vehicle is driving recklessly up and down the street in a 2011 Nissan Titan with blue flames in front of vehicle. Disposition: Advised.
Bear Valley Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation:
Between Dec. 10 and the morning of Dec. 11, the Kern County Sheriff's Department responded to 22 incidents, including a battery investigation on Valley Boulevard and Santa Lucia Street.
Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing reported.
California Highway Patrol: Nothing reported.
Today: Sunny, with a high near 48. Northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 30. East northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 51. Northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 33. North wind 5 to 10 mph.
