Activity reported by the Tehachapi Police Dept.:

09:46 WELFARE CHECK REQUEST Occurred at S. Pauley St. / West “F” St., Reporting Party stated a female contacted her in the alley, asked for help. Stated her boyfriend subject bit her leg, possible broke nose/wrist. Suspect is a hispanic male w/ tattoos, white tank and gray sweater, mustache, now walking toward Pauley on “F”. Disposition: Unable to Locate.

11:11 DISTURBING THE PEACE Occurred on Elm St., Past occurred dispute between neighbors over dogs coming onto Reporting Parties property. Disposition: Advised.

11:14 VICIOUS, BARKING, BITE, ETC. Occurred on S. Mill St., Tehachapi. Female subject ran over a dog in front of the Reporting Parties house. Dog is deceased Reporting party is attempting to locate the owner. Disposition: Turn over to animal control.

11:27 PROWLER Officer initiated activity at West Park, West “D” St., Tehachapi. Out for a report of suspicious male poss prowler/ white male wearing a blue jacket. Disposition: No Further Action Required

11:29  SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred at Central Park on East “D” St., Hispanic male subject, mustache, dark blue hoodie. Left West bound from the park in a white pickup possibly a ford Disposition: Unable to Locate.

11:36 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred at St. Vincent De Paul Store on S. Green St., Possible suspect from C9s earlier incident LS in front of Kmart w/ pit bull dark jacket or hoodie, dark jeans, sunglasses gray hair white male /hispanic male 50-60 yo. Disposition: Unable to Locate.

12:07 DISTURBING THE PEACE Occurred on S. Mill St., Music, three houses to the right from reporting parties location. Disposition: Advised.

14:03 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred at S. Curry St/W Valley Blvd., Observed a suspect matching the description of officers suspect hispanic male w/ mustache wearing a dark shirt/pants walking a small black dog. Disposition: Unable to Locate.

14:25 FOLLOW UP Officer initiated activity at The Village Apartments, N. Mill St., photo lineup. Disposition: Assignment Completed.

17:55 BURGLARY; INHABITED Occurred at Tehachapi Christian Store on E Tehachapi Blvd. Past occurrence two teen subjects entered the store Monday, $500 cash was taken from the bank deposit envelope, Reporting Party is sure money was there before the subjects came in and gone when they left. One subject stated he would try to get the money back but has not returned. Disposition: Report Taken.

19:04 STOLEN VEHICLE Occurred at Mobile Estates Park on S Dennison Rd., Tehachapi. Vehicle was taken between 1800 hours 1900 hours. Disposition: Report Taken.

03:07 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred on Cherry Ln, Tehachapi. Hear two men in her front porch. Disposition: Unable to Locate.

03:43 ASSIST OTHER AGENCIES Occurred at California Wind on East Tehachapi Blvd., Silent alarm covering the fuel tank camera there is a male subject with a dog near the tank. Disposition: Assisted.

07:20 BURGLARY ALARM Occurred on Canyon Dr West, Master bedroom window, Responsible, party is at work and not able to respond. Disposition: False Alarm.

07:29 WELFARE CHECK REQUEST Occurred on Beech St., Reporting Party is in fear for the safety of her 4 year old daughter in the care of her father and his girlfriend. Reporting Party stated the father sells drugs and regularly has drugs within reach of her daughter and another child living in the house. Disposition: Checks Ok.

Stallion Springs Police Department: Nothing to report.

Kern County Sheriff Tehachapi Substation: Nothing to report.

Bear Valley Police department: Nothing to report.


The National Weather Service in Hanford provides the following forecast for the Tehachap area:

• This afternoon: Sunny with temperatures rising to near 58 and breezy.

• Tonight: Clear with a low around 37. East wind around 10 mph.

• Friday: Sunny with a high near 58. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

• Friday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 38. East wind 10 to 15 mph.

• No precipitation is forecasted through the weekend.

The Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District has scheduled an additional Special Board Meeting for 12 Noon, Monday, Feb. 4 in the Hospital Conference Room, 115 West “E”Street. to further discuss issues tabled at their Special Board Meeting on Wednesday, January 30. Due to questions posed by board members Dr. Horowitz and Henry Shaeffer. concerning the need for additional information on the assignment of water rights and the builders risk insurance. The board approved the selection of Celtic Commercial Finance for equipment leasing subject to clarification of some terms to be provided at this meeting.
