Two arrested on drug charges following search

Two Tehachapi residents have been arrested following a search of a residence at 606 Linden Court in the City of Tehachapi Monday evening.

According to Police Chief Jeff Kermode, officers went to the address at about 5 p.m. on Monday, March 11, to serve a search warrant. He said the warrant was based upon the allegation that one of the residents was selling illegal drugs.

As a result of the search, officers recovered approximately 22 grams of Methamphetamine with a street value of about $2,200, Vicodin tablets, 119 grams of Marijuana, drugs sales paraphernalia, an Apple computer stolen in a 2012 a Tehachapi burglary and $2,490 in cash, Kermode said.

Arrested was, Juell See Barker, 57, of Tehachapi. He was booked in Kern County Jail on charges of possession of narcotics, possession of controlled substance for sales, receiving stolen property, maintaining a place to sell controlled substances, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and obstructing an officer. Bail was set at $62,500.

Also arrested was Kelli Delane Barklind, 51, of Tehachapi. She was booked in Kern County Jail on charges of possession of controlled substance, receiving stolen property, maintaining a place to sell controlled substances and obstructing an officer. Her bail was set at $40,000.
