1:18 a.m. Disturbing the peace. Occurred on Pinon Street. Disposition: a dvised.
6:54 a.m. Auto accident, no injuries. Officer initiated activity at Tucker Road/West Tehachapi Boulevard. Disposition: No further action required.
7:35 a.m. Traffic control needed. Officer initiated activity at Tompkins Elementary School. Disposition: Checks ok.
7:57 a.m. Driving under the influence of drugs. Occurred on Scarlet Oak Drive. In progress, male subject is attempting to possible break into a vehicle, white ford four door sedan. Woman wearing black sweat pants and no shirt. Disposition: Arrest made.
8:40 a.m. Water department service. Occurred on Paramount Drive. Water coming from road. Disposition: Turn over to.
8:58 a.m. School resource duty. Officer initiated activity at Tehachapi High School. Disposition: Assignment completed.
9:08 a.m. Disturbing the peace. Officer initiated activity at South Dennison Road. Disposition: No further action required.
10:04 a.m. Subpoena service attempt. Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department. Disposition: Advised.
10:39 a.m. Vandalism against person or property of another. Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department. Report taken at the counter, reporting party said someone scrapped vehicle with a key. Disposition: No further action required.
10:51 a.m. Petty theft less than $400. Occurred on Peach Blossom Lane. Civil matter, reporting party's keys have been taken. Reporting party suspects daughter who lives out of town may have taken the keys because daughter wants mother to live with her. Disposition: No further action required.
11:01 a.m. Hit and run/property. Occurred at Amber Oak Storage. Someone damaged the awning, possibly ran into it with vehicle. Reporting party wants a call when officer is ready to meet with him at amber oak storage. Disposition: Report taken.
11:52 a.m. School resource duty. Officer initiated activity at Tehachapi High School. Disposition: Non moving cite.
1:06 p.m. Vehicle repossession. Occurred on Alder Avenue. Owner notified. Disposition: Report taken.
1:32 p.m. Subpoena service attempt. Officer initiated activity at Michelle Lane. Disposition: Assignment completed.
2:18 p.m. Vandalism against person or property of another. Occurred on Cherry Lane. Just occured, someone threw something, an unknown object, at reporting party's vehicle and hit the back windshield. Window is shattered. Disposition: Advised.
2:46 p.m. Suspicious circumstances. Occurred on Marge Lane. Juvenile male parked vehicle and then took off running. Last seen running toward Laurel Lane in the park. Disposition: Checks ok.
2:56 p.m. Traffic stop. Officer initiated activity at West "E" Street/ South Pauly Street. Disposition: Arrest made.
3:23 p.m. Counter at the police department. Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department. Restraining order. Disposition: No criminal activity.
4:06 p.m. Disturbing the peace. Occurred on Tucker Road. Off duty officer advising in progress, black male, no shirt, black female wearing a black dress yukon brown vehicle behind the liquor store in the alleyway. Disposition: Warning (Cite/Verbal).
5:56 p.m. Reckless Driving. Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department. Stating a vehicle was following him from Walgreen's, black Toyota Camry, hispanic male, shaved head, medium build, white Prius. Disposition: Information only.
7:46 p.m. Petty theft report. Occurred on Kelton Street. Items taken from her unlocked vehicle sometime Friday. Disposition: Report Taken.
7:49 p.m. Battery report. Occurred at Tehachapi Hospital. ER Nurse Melanie requesting officer contact for past occurred battery of a female juvenile, 16 years of age, parent is also in the ER. Disposition: Information only.
8:43 p.m. Citizen requested assistance. Occurred at Airport on North Hayes Street. Taxi company would like assistance with getting out of the airport, gate won't auto open for him. Disposition: Assisted.
9:51 p.m. Burglary report. Occurred on Kelton Street. Burglary to a residence occurred sometime Friday, loss was jewelry and cash. Disposition: Report taken.
10:22 p.m. Citizen request assistance. Occurred at Highway/Caliente Exit. Cellular 9-1-1 call: On Caliente Bodfish Road back towards Highway 58 from Breckenridge, a 2010 two door Lexus, dark gray, reporting party advising they may possibly run out of gas and are trying to get as close to the 58 as they can. Disposition: Turn over to CHP.

June 2, 2014
6:11 a.m. Animal call. Occurred on Jacaranda Drive. Large bear sighting a mile down from reporting party's house. Disposition: Information only.
10:23 a.m. Extra patrol. Officer initiated activity at 40, Fawn Way. Disposition: Checks ok.
11:26 a.m. Welfare check request. Occurred at Pinedale Drive/South Lower Valley Road. Toddler is playing next to the roadway, bus driver did not see any adults in the area. Toddler is wearing diaper and bright red shirt. Disposition: Checks ok.
12:25 p.m. Extra patrol. Officer initiated activity at 16, Frontier Way. Disposition: Checks ok.
6:41 p.m. Snake. Occurred at 15 on Deertrail Drive. Small snake on her back deck, reporting party will keep an eye on it. Disposition: Turn over to.
8 p.m. Suspicious vehicle. Occurred at Jacaranda Drive/Tiara Court. Older brown jeep Cherokee parked downhill between Palomino and Tiara partially blocking the roadway. Driver was white male adult with beard, appeared disheveled. Disposition: Unable to locate.
11:38 p.m. Burglary, inhabited. Occurred on Paramount Drive. Possibly in progress to the garage, light is on and movement is heard in garage. Reporting party heard dog bark and awoke the reporting party. Disposition: Checks ok.
Kern County Sheriff's Department:
Between June 2 and the morning of June 3, the Kern County Sheriff's Office responded to 17 calls, including a missing juvenile on Yearling Way, tresspassing on Indian Wells Drive, peace disturbance on Quail Springs Road and Scout Point, and peace disturbance, verbal, on Golden Hills Boulevard.
Stallion Springs: Nothing to report.
California Highway Patrol: Nothing to report.
Today: Sunny, with a high near 82. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.
Tonight: Clear, with a low around 52. West northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Wednesday night: Clear, with a low around 54. West northwest wind around 15 mph.
• The Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi will hear a presentation from Chris Goldblatt about the non-profit Fish Reef Project on at noon Wednesday, June 4 at Pacinos, 1100 West Tehachapi Blvd.
• LIBRA will host a used book sale Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, at the Railroad Park. Donations of used books are sought for the sale, and can be made by calling 822-9113.
• The Main Street Farmers Market will start at Railroad Park on June 5 and will run every Thursday until Aug. 14, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Have a Heart will host its annual yard sale Friday and Saturday, June 6 and 7, with gates opening at 8 a.m., at 20901 La Barranca Ave.
• College Community Services — The Learning Center, located at 107 S. Mill St., Suite B, will be hosting Movie Day Wednesday, June 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. RSVP at least two days in advance of the event by calling 822-4639.
• The seventh annual Main Street Tehachapi Chili Cookoff will be held Downtown on Saturday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 822-6519.
• Election Day, Tuesday, June 3. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Poll locations here for Tehachapi area.
• The Golden Hills Community Services District board of directors will have a special meeting from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 7 at 21415 Reeves St.
• Lisa Kroese will give a presentation and answer questions on the topic of "What will we do with all of our stuff?" The public is invited and the June 5 meeting will be at the Senior Center, located at 500 E. "F" St., beginning at 6:30 p.m.
• The Tehachapi Unified School District’s regular board meeting will be held Tuesday, June 10, at 6 p.m., at Claude L. Wells Education Center, located at 300 S. Robinson St.
• Join the Tehachapi area Boy Scouts of America for a Flag Retirement Ceremony on Friday, June 13, at 5 p.m.
