Homecoming King and Queen crowned as THS celebrates traditional event

Tyler Huebner and Alison Waters were named the 2013 Homecoming King and Queen during the halftime ceremony held at Coy Burnett Field.

Tehachapi High School seniors Tyler Huebner and Alison Waters were named the Homecoming King and Queen for 2013. Other THS students on the homecoming court included Jessica Perreault, Laney Ricker, Kelsey Vance, Shawnee Villarreal, Madison Eberle, Shawn Carpenter, Taylor Carpenter, Jonathan Roberts, Davin Domingo and Tommy Garrett.

The theme was "Homecoming Ever After: Fairy Tales." THS students took part in week long activities leading up to the game that included staff volleyball, wall decorating, a tailgate party and the traditional assembly and parade.

During the parade and football game, floats with themes were presented by the Senior Class (Peter Pan), Junior Class (Cinderella), Sophomore Class (Alice in Wonderland), Freshmen Class (Three Little Pigs), Drama Club (Beauty and the Beast), Robotics Club (John Henry), French Club (Rapunzel), Fashion Club (Sleeping Beauty) and Otaku (Fairy Tales).

The seniors won first in gym and wall decorations, the sophomores won first place in the float competition in the float-class category and the Drama Club won first place in the float-club category.

Presenting the crowns to the new king and queen were members of the 2012 Homecoming Court, Jenna Hall and Lucas Jochem.
