Tehachapi man dies in rollover accident
A 64-year-old Tehachapi man died in a rollover crash on Eastbound State Highway 58 that occurred at about 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29.
Henry Ramirez of Golden Hills was killed when driver Patrick Gagnon, 68, also of Tehachapi, lost control of his Hyundai Sonata, exiting the roadway before overturning several times and striking a tree about a half-mile east of Mill Street.
Although both men were wearing seat belts, they sustained major injuries and were transported to Kern Medical Center where Ramirez succumbed to his injuries at 4:10 p.m.
Alcohol did not play a part in the accident, but according to the latest report from the California Highway Patrol who is still investigating the accident, a medical condition may have been the cause.
