Firefighters from Stallion Springs, Tehachapi and Keene as well as Bear Valley Springs Station 16 responded to a 911 call at 26900 Skyline Drive in Bear Valley Springs on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 2:19 a.m., for a reported chimney fire. There were no injuries. While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, damages are estimated at $20,000.
Golden Hills Elementary is keeping its students in a “semi-lockdown” after shots were fired in the vicinity near Santa Maria Drive and Madre Street around 10:45 a.m this morning, according to Kern County Sheriff Sgt.
Two adults were arrested in Stallion Springs after officers say they discovered they were in possession of approximately three bags of suspected methamphetamine and 80 grams of marijuana, along with what was believed to be stolen property.
