Tehachapi police report arrests, missing man

The Tehachapi Police Department for the week of January 30 to February 6 reported only one feloney arrest. Brian Rahman Yearwood was arrested on another agency’s warrant.

Officers reported 22 traffic stops and 2 accidents. There were 10 warrants served, six calls for medical aid, seven disturbance calls and four reports of petty theft. Officers assisted other agencies on five occasions.

Edward Authur Parker a 27-year old white male is still listed as missing. Parker is 5 foot 11 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Tehachapi police at 822-2222. Parker was rported missing on Jan. 28.

    The news that the Pahnamid Wind Energy project has been withdrawn from the County Planning Office is good news to most of us up here on the mountain. After spending several million dollars between the City of Tehachapi’s General Plan, the County’s Specific Plan, and the Kern Council of Government’s “Blueprint,” it would be foolish to start making zoning changes at the first opportunity.
