The latest news - Sailplanes invadedMountain Valley Airport last Saturday morning, for the 28th annual Dust Devil Dash cross-country glider race. SEE FULL STORY HERE. AND ... for those that may be wondering about the activity last night in Cummings Valley/Stallion Springs area. The Kern County Fire Dept. has conformed that the Stallion Springs Station responded to an accident last night at 6:57 p.m. for a single vehicle that lost control on a dirt road. That patient was airlifted out to KMC.

Sept. 10, 2013
2:20 a.m. Shots fired/heard on West "I" Street, reported via cell phone 911 call. Shots were heard in the area and a second reporting party heard them in the same area. Disposition: Advised. NOTE: No gunshots; illegal fireworks were seized.
2:51 a.m. 911 call from business on East Tehachapi Boulevard. Talking heard in the background; Disposition: Arrest made, one female for misdemeanor warrant.
8:48 a.m. Peace disturbance verbal occurred on Cherry Lane. Male vs. female verbal over taking her son to the doctor, male refusing to let her. No further action required.
1:51p.m. Trespassing occurred on East Tehachapi Boulevard. Subject was asked not to return to the store-possibly drunk in public. Arrest made. Note: one male arrested for misdemeanor warrants.
2:23 p.m. Petty theft report occurred on East “F” Street. Theft of bicycle. Taken sometime last night or this morning. Report taken.
2:29 p.m. Burglary; inhabited occurred on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Opening packages with large knife, left on foot. Arrest made. Note: one male arrested for burglary.
3:21p.m. Burglary; inhabited occurred on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Male took cologne from store, went outside and gave to female and went back inside and is getting more items. Arrest made. Note: one male arrested for burglary and conspiracy, one female arrested for possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
3:45 p.m. Threats death/bodily injury occurred on West Tehachapi Boulevard. Reporting person was working for the landscapers, was not given full pay. When he asked about his pay, the workers attempted to beat him up. He fled the area. Needs to be contacted. Speaks limited English, but has an interpreter. Negative contact.
7:40 p.m. Pedestrian check at South Curry Street and West Tehachapi Boulevard. Arrest made. Note: male arrested for misdemeanor warrant.
8:25 p.m. Traffic stop at Valley Boulevard and Mill Street. Arrest made. Note: one female arrested for possession of controlled substance, one female arrested for under the influence of controlled substance.
9:39 p.m. Man down at Valley Boulevard and Aspen Drive. Man down w/ a bicycle between Oakwood and Aspen on the south sidewalk. Reporting person can see a beer can but it is unknown if he is injured or passed out. Turn over.
11:22 p.m. Threats death/bodily injury occurred on East “I” Street. Jumped into yard, threatening to shoot residents. Arrest made. Note: male arrested for felony warrant.

2:11 a.m. Pedestrian check on Cherry Lane. Out with three. Arrest made. Note: male arrested for felony warrant.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. West wind 10 to 15 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.
Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
The rest of the week is forecasted to be mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 80s and a slight chance of thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

• The Tehachapi City Council will meet Monday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. in the Beekay Theatre, 110 S. Green St. One item to be discussed is a proposed spending plan for funds received by the city under Government Code section 30061, the Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund.
• A notice of adjournment was issued for the Tuesday, Sept. 10, Airport Commission meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Pilot's Lounge, 314 N. Hayes St.
• Directors of the Bear Valley Community Services District will meet at 6 p.m. on Sept. 12, at the CSD building, 28999 S. Lower Valley Road.
• On Wednesday, Sept. 18, the Tehachapi Valley Healthcare District will hold its regular board of directors meeting at 6 p.m. as the Golden Hills Community Services District building, 21415 Reeves St. The agenda has not yet been distributed.
