The Golden Hills CSD board next meets on Thursday, July 17, with a closed session set for 5:30 p.m.and an open session at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the CSD office, 21415 Reeves St., Tehachapi.
The closed session agenda lists planned discussion of two items of potential litigation.
The open session agenda includes a public hearing on the 2014-15 water standby charges prior to consideration of a resolution setting those charges.
Also a public hearing on placement of delinquent accounts on tax rolls for collection purposes and consideration of a related resolution.
The board will also consider a resolution establishing procedures for a Proposition 218 majority protest hearing and call such a hearing regarding an adjustment in the district's billing practices for commercial water rates and adoption of a future policy on increases of those charges.
There are three agenda items having to do with Golden Hills Sanitation Company:
• Item 12 is a board discussion of the status of the company and related issues.
• Item 13 is a request to AECOM to review their findings; AECOM is the firm hired by the county to do an assessment of solutions for the insolvent sewage treatment company that serves an area of the CSD.
• Item 14 is a request for the CSD to assume ownership and operation of the Golden Hills Sanitation wastewater testament plant.
