The latest - The Tehachapi Unified School District and its Board of Trustees said no to moving sixth graders to the main building at Jacobsen Middle School. There was also discussion of where Abernathy Charter School will be housed. The district will present two proposals to charter school officials today.

11:35     TRESPASSING Occurred at Burger King on West Tehachapi Blvd. Unable to locate.

11:49     SUBPOENA SERVICE ATTEMPT Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" St. Witness subpoena to be served.

11:56     FOLLOW UP Officer initiated activity at Juvenile Hall, (Unknown Address), Bakersfield.

12:52     SCHOOL RESOURCE DUTY Officer initiated activity at Tehachapi High School, South Dennison Rd.

13:35     PETTY THEFT LESS THAN $400.00 Occurred at Albertsons on Tucker Rd.

13:40     COUNTER AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" St.

13:53     SUBPOENA SERVICE ATTEMPT Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" St. Witness to be served at Tompkins Elementary School.

14:58     DISTURBING THE PEACE Occurred at Gas & Go on East Tehachapi Blvd.

15:02     MAN DOWN Occurred at East Valley Blvd. and Clearview St. Male subject down on sidewalk.

15:33     HIT AND RUN/PROPERTY Occurred at West "H" St. and North Mill St. Male fled on foot after crashing truck at intersection. No other occupants in the vehicle.  City works is on scene providing traffic control.

15:56     SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE Occurred on North Davis St.

17:00     FORGERY Occurred at Primo Burger on East "F" St. Amount is $5

16:57     SUBPOENA SERVICE ATTEMPT Occurred at Tehachapi Police Department on East "F" St. Witness to be served at Kmart.

17:20     EXTRA PATROL Occurred on Oak Pl. House being egged. Provide extra patrol p.m. hours only for next few days.

19:14     CITIZEN REQUESTED ASSISTANCE Occurred on East "F" St. Reporting party stating her boyfriend took her kids without permission.

19:32     SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES Occurred at Tehachapi Hospital on West "E" St. Reporting party states there is a teenager with a hoodie looking through employee vehicles. Gone on arrival.

21:47     BURGLARY ALARM  Officer initiated activity at Auto Zone, on Tucker Rd.

22:39     KEEP THE PEACE Occurred on West "I" St. Reporting party states the male subject she's staying with has been harassing her and would like an officer to keep the peace while she arrives home. Male subject is known as "Rebel".

The National Weather Service in Hanford provides the following forecast for the Tehachapi area:

This afternoon: Sunny, with a temperature falling to around 48 by 5pm.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 32 with a light breeze out of the northwest.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 55. Breezy, increasing to gusty up to 20 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: Clear and crisp with a low around 34. East wind around with gusts as high as 20 mph.

CIVIC CALENDAR

Due to lack of agenda items the Tehachapi Municipal Advisory Council meeting originally set for tonight has been cancelled.

Tehachapi High School will have a School Site Council Meeting on Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. The public is invited. The high shcool is located at 801 South Dennison Rd.

The Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks District's February Board of Director’s meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19, has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 5:30 p.m. at the TVRPD office, 490 W. "D" St.
