The Tehachapi Police Department arrested nine people on suspected misdemeanors and six people on suspected felonies during the week of Aug. 26-Sept. 1.
The felony arrests the department listed on a weekly report were on suspicion of domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment and felony warrant; burglary and unlawful possession of tear gas; burglary; burglary, unlawful possession of a stun gun and parole violation; and criminal threats. The nature of the other felony arrest was not disclosed.
A total of 81 incidents were handled by Tehachapi Police officers, including 177 calls for service from the public and 104 officer-initiated incidents.
Officers wrote a total of 39 reports.
Other stats that show the work officers performed for the week: They handled six business or building checks and 23 checks on vehicles or pedestrians.
