The Tehachapi Police Department arrested three people on suspected misdemeanors and five people on suspected felonies during the week of Oct. 14-20.

The felony arrests the department listed on a weekly report were on suspicion of robbery and disorderly conduct; a felony warrant; and three people arrested on second-degree burglary, grand theft and conspiracy to commit a crime.

A total of 233 incidents were handled by Tehachapi Police officers, including 137 calls for service from the public and 96 officer-initiated incidents.

Officers wrote a total of 33 reports.

Other stats that show the work officers performed for the week: They handled 10 business or building checks and five checks on vehicles or pedestrians.
