Luckily, when most of us get a flat, call in the crane. RTS Cranes lifted a 200 ton BNSF Dash 9 engine to change out a set of bad front wheels. The engine was lifted off the tracks just across from Jacobson Middle School on April 3.

Shane Sanchez, a member of the “change out crew” estimated that, “the crane was lifting about 160 tons and keeping it stable, while the new wheels were rolled in place.”

The whole process took just over an hour to complete once the crane was in place.
