Chamber of Commerce Annual Board Meeting
The annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Kelcy's Restaurant, 110 West Tehachapi Blvd. at 5:30 p.m.

8th Annual Christmas Parade
‘Christmas in Candyland’
The Holidays are a time for families and friends to gather. On Saturday, December 6th at 5:30 p.m. The Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce is planning the 8th Annual Christmas parade “Christmas in Candyland.” 

The Parade route will be down F Street beginning at Mulberry Street.  The Tehachapi Valley Parks and Recreation will be hosting the tree lighting ceremony in front of the Veteran's Hall, and the city will be decorating downtown with lights and banners. 

This is an evening to bundle up the kids and come celebrate the Holiday Season with the entire community.

This event is planned so the community can gather together for visiting old friends, making new friends, drinking hot chocolate, watching the parade, sharing a meal, enjoying the lights, singing carols, strolling from business to business doing your Christmas Shopping. This is to be an exciting holiday event filled with community spirit for all ages.  Wouldn't a few snowflakes complete the magic?

Last year's parade was such a success that you don't want to miss out on this year's event! Parade Applications are available at the Chamber Office, 798 Tucker Rd., Ste 4 or at www.tehachapi.com. Deadline for applications is Monday, Nov. 24.

In order to make the parade successful, it takes volunteers. What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to be a part of the parade committee. Contact the Chamber office at (661)822-4180 for more information. All volunteers are welcome.

9th Annual Shop Tehachapi for the Holidays
“Christmas in Candyland”
To support our local economy and to encourage the community to shop Tehachapi for the holidays the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce is showcasing local businesses at the 9th Annual Shop Tehachapi for the Holidays, on Saturday, Dec, 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7, at West Park Activity Center, 410 W. D Street.

Local merchants will have gift items on display for purchase. So bring your family, friends and colleagues; shop and enjoy holiday entertainment while supporting local businesses.

Shop Tehachapi for the Holidays will be open to the public at no charge for holiday shopping and entertainment on Saturday, Dec. 6,  from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and again on Sunday,  Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4  p.m.
