These lights shine in honor of those we love

The Holiday Season is a  time to honor and remember loved ones and friends who have been a special part of our lives. On Sunday, Dec, 7 at 4:30 p.m., Optimal Hospice Foundation will host their “Light Up A Life Celebration”at Kelcy's Restaurant on Tehachapi Boulevard. The tree lighting ceremony will include a personal reflection by a hospice family member, the reading of the memorial names by hospice nurses and volunteers, and special music provided by local choir.

Tehachapi residents are invited to sponsor a light in memory of a friend or loved  one, or for someone living whom they wish to honor.  For each gift a light will be placed on the tree in tribute to their loved one. 

Also, an  Optimal Hospice Foundation Ornament will hang on a Tree of Life in the lobby of Kelcy’s Restaurant.

In order to have names read during the Tehachapi ceremony, donations must be submitted by Nov. 28, to: Optimal Hospice Foundation, 1315 Boughton Dr., Bakersfield, CA  

The goal of the Optimal Hospice Foundation, a non profit agency, is to ensure families have access to hospice care, regardless of their ability to pay and is there to fill the gap for families who are uninsured or whose insurance benefits have run out.
