Students from Mrs. Charlotte Mason’s 8th grade class at Carden School of Tehachapi offered motorists a free car wash last Friday as part of their annual Pay it Forward event.
“This is not a fundraiser, this is strictly for community service. Let good deeds start right here,” Mason said.
Thankful motorists who left tips also Paid it Forward, as all donations were pledged to Tehachapi’s Relay for Life, according to Mason.
Minute Stop Dairy and Shell station on Hwy. 202 and Woodford-Tehachapi Road generously provided the space and water for the student’s good deed/clean fun.
Eighth grader Samantha Malone explained what “Pay it Forward” means to her:
“To give what you have to others, to pass this good fortune on to others.”
