Havannah Ulrich rounds a barrel at the Golden Hills Equestrian Center "Equine Affair" May 16-17 on her horse Willow, a breeding stock Paint. Havannah, 13, a student at Valley Oaks Charter School, also show jumps with Willow and won the Reserve Champion show jumping title at the 2008 PDM Training Stables Equestrian Sports Awards. Mackaroni, who is 3/4 Haflinger and 1/4 Belgian, watches Havannah Ulrich with the flag in the arena at the Golden Hills “Equine Affair,” May 16-17. The Grissom family daughters, the Happy Hearts Vaulters, use Mackaroni for their vaulting performances.


Handstands aboard Mackaroni - Brittany Grissom, 17, performs a vaulting routine at the Golden Hills Equestrian Center. She is a gold level (top) vaulter and has been involved in the sport for 13 years. Mackaroni is 3/4 Haflinger and 1/4 Belgian.
