On Friday and Saturday, Aug. 7 and 8 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Tomo-Kahni Board of Volunteers will be hosting a yard sale to help raise money for the Tomo-Kahni Resource Center. The Center provides the local Tehachapi community with educational programs for kids and adults, which center around the local Kawaiisu Native American culture and Tomo-Kahni State Historic Park in the Tehachapi Mountains.
There's something for everyone, and all proceeds go to a great community-enhancing program! In addition to a variety of gently-used treasures, items from the Tomo Kahni gift shop will be available for purchase, including books, clothing and other items related to local Native American culture.
Help keep the center in operation! Tax-deductable donations toward the operating expenses for this valuable facility are warmly welcomed. If you wish to donate items to be sold at the yard sale, they will be accepted at the Tomo Kahni Resource Center at 112 E. F St., Suite B in downtown Tehachapi on Fridays and Saturdays from 12 to 4 p.m.
The event will take place at 313 S. Robinson St. on Friday and Saturday Aug. 7 and 8, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
If you have any questions, contact the Tomo-Kahni Resource Center: at 822-3720, Fridays and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
