Shacklock transfers to CSU-Monterey Bay
After spending her redshirt freshman year for the Cal-State Bakersfield Roadrunners, former Tehachapi High standout Lauren Shacklock has transferred to Cal-State Monterey Bay to continue her volleyball collegiate career.
CSUMB coach Jody Garry is excited to have a prospect like Shacklock on the Otter roster for her sophomore season.
“Shack will raise the level of practice and competition on our team,” Garry said on otterathletics.com. “She has the ability to terminate over the biggest blockers in our conference and willingness to work hard to be the best she can be.“
Shacklock was the most valuable player for the Lady Warriors in 2005 and 2006, playing on the varsity squad all four years at Tehachapi. During her junior and senior seasons, Shacklock led Tehachapi with 707 kills and 485 blocked shots.
