Tehachapi Little League turned in impressive results against East Kern County competition, with eight victories overall in the Tournament of Champions playoffs and the Minor Rampage and Senior Storm taking North Division District 51 titles.
The Minor Rampage (14-2-2 Record) won their championship with victories over Kern River Valley (11-4), Lakes (6-0) and the Minor Dream Girls (15-7) to make the overall District 51 title game. Players for the Rampage included Kamryn Gutierrez, Allyson Myrtle, Valoree Haubruge, Alyssa Vega, Robin DeBruyne, Marti Abbema, Vanessa Swan, Alexa Higgenbotham, Sierra Self, Mariah Godde, Tabbatha Evrist and Jordan Green-Roy and manager Pieter Abbema.
The Minor Dream Girls (9-8-1 Record) also had a good playoff run by making the North Division District 51 championship, defeating Boron (18-15) and Mojave (6-0). Players for the Dream Girls included Una Abarquez, Danay Lee, Madison Peel, Joy Grantham, Crystal Garcia, Angela O'Donnell, Harper Franko, Deanna Hammer, Sierra Darnell, Meghan Daffern, Keira Rossman, Cassidy Rossman and manager Joseph O’Donnell.
In major softball, Tehachapi had two representatives in the TOC with the Heat and Lady Warriors. Players for the Heat (16-1 Record) were Kalie Muro, Ashley Rush, Elena Kramer, Shelby Worrell, Brenna DeZubiria, Samantha Stankorb, Dionna Henry, Kendall Kapitzke, Taylor Pace, Alexie Adams, Bayla Borquez, Samantha Wallace and manager Trish Stankorb and the roster for the Lady Warriors were Payton Jones, Madison Frey (Cooper), Alixandra Lange, Laney Ricker, Kristen Dressel, Montana Frey (Cooper), Shelby Ricker, Jade Taliulu, Taylor Cummings, Kennedie Onufrak, Michaela Peters, Brooke Boyd and manager Kendra Cummings.
The Senior Storm (13-4-1 Record) also collected North Division District 51 championship honors, deafeting Kern River Valley (24-2) and Boron (4-3) under manager Umberto Silva. Players for the Storm were Taylor Mejia (Main), Sandra Price, Jessie Keener, Mickaela Duce, Kaitlynn Hyland, Alexxis Silva, Brittany Ryan, Baylee Garland, Emily Mejia, Alejandra Valenzuela, Rosalee Rodriguez and McKayla Elam.
The Senoir Inferno also had a strong year with a 13-4-1 record, with athletes Kaitlyn Diffenbaugh, Taelor Kramer, Jaycee Dean, Scout Hawksley, Amanda Ward, Jessica Aguilar, Lacey Adams, Carrina Appling, Victoria Appling, Amber Spalliero, Alexis Peters, Cierra Borquez and Jackie Ybarra participating on the team under the direction of manager Logan Smith.
Little League Softball is currently participating in All-Star Tournament play, which is set to conclude this week.
