New Resting Place-Military Burial for John M. "Jim" Newman

The cremains of long time resident John Morgan "Jim" Newman. who died August 25, 2004 in Tehachapi, will be moved from Tehachapi Westside Cemetery and laid to rest in the new Bakersfield National Cemetery, with military honors on Monday, July 27,  2009 at 11:30 a.m. 

Friends are welcome to join the family for the event, honoring his military service in the United States Air Force.   Mr. Newman was born January 28, 1936 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to Jessie Chitwood Spencer and Henry C. Newman.  He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Stradley and Abigail B. Newman, sons; Noel, Sean, Justin, Parker and Joel.  Additionally, he is survived by his Grandchildren, Tamara and Scott Stradley, Tonacey and Cindy Newman, Riley and Jake Newman, Mason and Marshall Newman and Great-Grandchildren; Slade and Kellen Stradley. He is also survived by his brother Lee Newman and sister, Mary E. Hill and many nieces and nephews.    He is sorely missed by his loving family!
