The Tehachapi Republican Women, Federated has planned a second “Old Fashioned Rally” scheduled for Sept. 5, 2009. The rally and membership drive will be held at 4 p.m. at the home of Lynn Wyman, 21404 Indian Wells Drive, Tehachapi.
We are very pleased to have Assemblyman Chuck Devore from Irvine as our featured speaker at this event. He represents 500,000 constituents in the California State Assembly; he is a common sense Conservative candidate for United States Senate in 2010 against Barbara Boxer. He is the Vice Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Revenue and Taxation and serves on the Veterans Affairs Committee and the Joint Legislative Audit Committee. Chuck served as a Reagan White House appointee in the Pentagon from 1986 to 1988. As Special Assistant for Foreign Affairs, his duties included working with Congress to advance the President’s foreign and military policy. He studied overseas at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. After more than 24 years of service, Chuck retired from the Army National Guard with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Local legislators, party officials and candidates are invited to this function. A success last year, the rally drew a large crowd and we would be very happy to have those who are interested present at this event. In addition to refreshments, live music will be provided for entertainment.
To RSVP, please call Bonnie Miller at 823-8223 by Aug. 31, 2009.
