UPDATE: Depot fire trial delayed until at least February
The case involving two men accused of burning down the Tehachapi train depot last summer will not begin this week after all.
The defense, representing Jason Watson and Brian O'Donnell, successfully filed a motion to delay the trial on Monday, Nov. 9 at 8:30 a.m. -- 30 minutes before their jury trial was originally scheduled to begin.
The next readiness hearing is scheduled for Feb. 5, 2010. If no motions are filed, the jury trial is scheduled to take place Feb. 16, 2010.
This information comes from the Kern County Superior Court.
