I remember my first Endoscopy I was wheeled in the room and saw what looked to me like an ANACONDA in a tub of water bubbling away. Doctor D came in and I said OH HECK NO THERE IS NO WAY ON GODS GREEN EARTH THAT YOU'RE PUTTING THAT THING DOWN MY THROAT. He calmly stated oh yes I am, to which I said OH N.................................... I woke up and my first words were that SOB.... He later told me that the "thing" I saw was the pediatric scope. O.O

I wish you could all see the SE grin on my face.

I don't feel so bad anymore, go figure. Oh, and VADER I need my formal induction into the CENSORED group, and the verdict is still not in, if I have made it into the conspiracy theorist group. One persons conspiracy is another persons truth LMAO Knowing what's good for me, and having been reminded of it , I will have to let this one go. After all the issue is dead and gone.

I missed the whole political blogging, I was cheating and blogging on, what I believed to be a far more active In Your Face, Less Restrictive, say it the way you feel it,  anything goes site. I believe myself  to be rather thick skinned although I admit there are areas where it runs a bit thin (but I'm working on those areas). I have my burley Scotsman to thank for it.

I know my ability to be in complete and utter disagreement, even to the point of disgust of another views, and yet be able to respect that, and still have the ability to agree on some level is too credited to my hairy a$$ Scotsman. I think that we Americans have had political correctness crammed so far down our throats that we can no longer speck our minds, this has caused us to lose so many of our abilities to truly enjoy the beauty of a good banter. The frustration this causes us is evident, look at what's become of our right to freedom of speech, no matter how it might be offensive to others.

The world would be such a boring place if we all agreed. Don't you agree EvilGrin.

Just decided to spice up an otherwise dull Friday.  Notso, you love what I do and you know it.  You don't know who much my parents love me.  My mom reads what I write and she says, "Why do you bother wasting your talent on this?"  And I say, "It keeps me sharp mom.  It keeps me sharp!"  Ohh - Gilfish, Sam's cat has gone nowhere!

Oh, and yes, Joty.  You are such a lovely person to know and I feel the same way about you.  We do have very different views but are able to put those differences aside to have a wonderful friendship.

Starbucks, Vader has a teeny, tiny point in all his rantings. You compliment me for making a few good points, but you don't concede that you started the whole mess by throwing out some conservative hyperbole & ridiculing folks who took it at face value.

You can get away with it on Sam's threads, because Sam only allows folks with a similar mindset to post on his commentaries. On an open thread, you get points like mine & refuse to dialog about them. Sheesh!

Poor starbucks he wants to have an intelligent discussion, but he doesn't understand that people are tired of his incendiary comments.  That's his motive.  Write something incendiary, then expects people to not get emotional on the discussion. That my friend is not a person wanting to have an honest discussion.  That's the tactic of a blowhard moron like Rush, Hannity, and Coulter!  And what Starbucks seems to be unaware of.....AND THE ELECTION WAS A BIG MESSAGE!  People are tired of the incendiary tactics of blowhard commentators.

I wonder how many of these Bloggers were at "Mommy Hillybeans" a couple of weeks ago.  That was the first time I've been there because my mom wanted to go for her Birthday.  I said where are we going?  And my dad said, "Hippy Coffee."  I said, "In Tehachapi?  Get out of here!"  But lo and behold there it was!  NICE PLACE!  Really it's nice to see an establishment like that in T-Town!  A Folk group that was straight out of "A Mighty Wind" was recording there!

Fact is, he's appointed plenty of folks who aren't "tax cheats", as you put it. Fact is, Sarah Palin has also had her share of tax troubles, but I don't see you accusing her of being a tax cheat. Fact is, Obama has gotten plenty of things done in his first 50 days in office: promoting stem cell research, getting the stimulus package up & running, putting together an actual strategic, not reactive, plan for the Iran & Afghanistan occupations, signing the SCHIP bill into law; all things I supported & reasons that I voted for him.

More facts: the Republican congressional members are polling at a near all-time low; the head of the RNC can't make up his mind regarding core party platforms and has to apologize to a conservative radio entertainer for pointing out the obvious; and several long-held Republican districts across the country are in play for the first time in decades.

I understand you were using hyperbole to make a point - I didn't think you were seriously looking for a rebuttal to your argument! Since you seem to be asking for it, here ya go....

Starbucks your act is tired.  The reason no one addresses you anymore is because you're irrelevant.  While you sit there and want to nit pick about Obama's appointee's (which is just a stupid political game) EVERYONE else who is sane is worried about real issues.  While you're in the game of paritsan bickering, the rest of us are trying to find solutions.  I don't need to defend Obama or his policies, he does a GREAT job of articulating his positions very clearly.  So with that in mind Starbucks, you can enjoy blogging to yourself, playing your lame tired act and I'll check in once every three months on this blog, put you in your place and go on my merry way.

LOL, awsmom, I have the list too, not only that, i know alot about a few bloggers here, and they are nothing like they present themselves on here, I have caught them in many lies on here, I feel sorry for them, they are so troubled in their personal life I really just wish them the best, and you dont want to fight with me, I think we see eye to eye on most everything, exept maybe Obama, if only the O man could appt someone to his administration thats not a tax cheat, maybe he could get something done, :)

It was probably me SB I have been rather upset at what I believed is an injustice, and I felt turn around was fair play. I spent many years in the field of  justice, and I have a rather inquisitive mind, which get me into trouble all the time. Heck even my true name has warrior in it. I have been told my investigative skills far exceed what is required and even expected. It's just I feel that truth and justice is the American Way, now where have I heard that before LOL

My investigation into the truth shocked me and I though that others needed to know (mistake #1), I spent the morning  investigating collecting documents blah blah.(mistake #2) but somewhere in the comment I did the you and me thing and I was quashed. (3 strikes your OUT)As Active4people stated above. I stood down about the whole thing when I reminded myself that not everyone in the world feels about truth the same way I do.

Oh, now I know what your talking about, yea, I know about the Gube thing too, and thats one of the weird things about this blog, why do people want more than one identity?  it seems silly to me, but anyway, I think I missed why Carin even put up this blog telling people to be civil, I didnt notice anything out of the usual missing dog banter going on, maybe someday this blog can get to the point of people being able to share their opinions without being insulted and attacked just for having a conservative view, then again, if Obama keeps driving this country into a depression, conservatives will enjoy a much more popular image

'theyeofgod' outed everyone to aws?, I must have missed that one, whats that about Joty?, but, I think its pretty slow here because you really cant talk politics or religon here calmly, its mostly an atheist/liberal blog, anyone with an different view gets attacked, and called a racist or bigot, when thats not the case. There is so much corruption and bad moves coming out of the new Presidents administration that is all over other blogs, like Bakersfield.com blog, but it cant be mentioned here, bloggers here wont have any of that, so, no one talks, just my opinion, maybe Im wrong, what do you think?

It just boils down to common sense and manners. Unfortunately, sometimes manners or politeness is lacking, but usually only from a few and most of us have experienced the few. It is a challenge to opine about something one feels strongly about without getting emotional. I catch myself every now and then using the word "you" or "yours" when responding and then, if I am in my right mind, going back and changing to third person. Because as soon as the words "you" and "yours" enter the picture it risks becoming about "you and me" rather than the topic being written about. If someone "ambushes" a topic for a personal attack it is a real disappointment because the topic really gets ruined. I think we have all had that happen once in a while (but not to a large degree thankfully). I know I have deleted personal attack posts from blogs I started (simply because I don't want to allow the blog to become a forum for the attack)--and then folks have difficulty following the responses. Every so often it is probably good to re-commit to trying to observe these things, even though we all will stumble. I think the blogs are great, irrespective whether I agree or disagree.

I will opine if an interesting topic arises,not much lately, and you know who the ones are who attack others, address them specifically.

LOL, I could probably do a lot better, SB, but I have mondo work to do. Feel free to opine at will - even about your chosen agendas. Just try not to accuse anybody of a major crime, and don't threaten any vigilante justice and you'll all be just fine. I hope that helps.

Good question Notso, I don't know.  Someone could hotlink to photos on my site (or anyone else's) rather benignly.  It would take some investigation on my part to check since I don't host my own site, my hosting provider hosts it for me.  Maybe they have some tools that makes finding hotlinking easier.  That's one reason I watermark all of my images with my copyright.  If someone hotlinks to one of my images, it will show the entire image including the watermark (at least I think).  

Hey TN bloggers...I have every confidence in your collective ability to tactfully handle any lack of civility. Let's just try to keep the personal agenda monsters away from the pitchfork and lantern set.

Okay, Greg.....you made perfect sense after Mr. Notso interpreted  it for me.  Ha-Ha!!!!!  Did this happen to you and your website and your fabulous photographs?????

Hotlinking is a term that defines how an image is included in a webpage.  For instance, if you go to my website, www.GregLoskorn.com, all of the images that you see reside on the same server as the rest of my website, as opposed to coming from another website.  Hotlinking is usually intended to deceive, or at the very least, steal bandwidth.  If someone is hotlinking images on their website, it means that the images actually reside on someone else's server.  So what, you say?  Well, they are essentially stealing the images and purporting them to be their own, plus, by having the images reside on someone else's server, they place the burden of storage and retrieval on the other person's website, which is where the stealing of bandwidth comes in.  OK, did I make that confusing enough?  LOL!  It's been another 14 hour day and I'm tired and not forming thoughts clearly, time to go to bed.
