I am in the middle of reading The Soloist. What a great book. It has opened my eyes to the plight of the mentally ill homeless. Particularly Skid Row in LA. I finished The Inheritance of Loss. Another great read as it made me really see the Indian cast system in a new light as well as the mentality of the people (in a general sense of the word).
I tried to read "Snow". A book about an area in Turkey but it irritated me the way the author kept referring to snow. I kept thinking about an essay I wrote about Emerson and how "A dream" theme kept running through the book. I think the author of "Snow" has read Emerson.
Whatcha all reading out there in Blog Land? What do you enjoy or not about it?

That's is funny Greg. I have done the same thing!
Are you kidding?! Sometimes I actually lose ground because I fall asleep before I've finished re-reading the few pages I read the night before! LOL!
I worked on the movie version of "The Soloist". I only get to see the parts of the movie that have music so it's impossible to tell what it will be like, but the music is great and it's a wonderful story too.
