3 news stories? What is really going on? and it's the stories you have been blogging about. So can any of you bloggers update a San Diego resident about anything good and/or bad that has been happening up there in my home town?

Well, joty, the one I saw, looked grey, probably the same. You coming from Simi, I'm sure you know about the legend of the Chupacabre, right, but come on, the only thing weird about that dog was it's elongated jaw, & that was weird. I pictured one much more demon like. So.... a big dog? Could be, but that jaw!

lol, lori, you mean the vid of the big black dog those bored Sheriff's filmed? I saw a few minutes of it...but I did watch the story about the 'Treeman' on Medical Mysteries. Holy cow!
I saw the obit on Miss Kitty in the TN and didn't connect it cuz it was a photo of her in her younger days - even though it said "Miss Kitty". It was in the Loop I saw a story with a more recent foto and I realized who it was. She was my husband's barber, he adored her. And she was our age, that kinda freaked us out.

Well, did anyone see the video of the Chupacabre running through the fields, in daylight? Yeah, gube, that's true, the TN, does do that,it seems like less people are blogging, possibly due to lack of news. I also enjoy The Loop!

I like reading the loop...................It's a good community newspaper that has well written articles about local people and activities..................One good thing about TN is they supply and maintain this blog site.

Yes, I too am concerned about the lack of reporting in the Tehachapi Newspaper. Seems less and less every week. But I am looking forward to trying the new format and size. It can be a pain in the kazoo to hold a large bulky paper wide open with my cat batting at it as I try to read it. JUST DON'T MAKE THE FONT ANY SMALLER!!

The TN has already downsized the paper considerably.. they've done away with the Mill Street section entirely. Now we have the Main section, the Sports section and the classified ads. I really miss the 'old' paper and the Johnson/Mead combination.. they had a real heart for the people of Tehachapi and the paper reflected that hometown touch. Now the TN is going to a smaller "more convenient" paper size (next week?) and 'modular' advertising (whatever that may be). Looks like creativity and individuality is being squeezed into small 'convenient' cubicles... for what? To save newsprint? Newsprint can be recycled! I'd rather pay a few cents more for the 'old' paper format... bring back Mill Street!

Last week in another thread several of us discussed the Tehachapi News' financial troubles and their plan to change the print version of the paper to "half-size"....
Wellll... The Pensacola News Journal took a different tack to their financial woes. They just announced that the print version of the daily paper will increase from $0.50 to $0.75 per copy.
I'm not sure which solution I dislike more, but I think I'm favoring Tehachapi News' decision to make changes that don't financially impact their customers.

Actually you and my kids were headed in the same direction...SOUTH. I am so glad to hear that your sister in law is doing well. Paradise Valley Hospital is not far from my house. I too am thankful for my blessings.

How funny that we crossed paths going in opposite directions this weekend. We got home late last night and I was totally exhausted. My sister in law is doing well considering what she's been through, but it's really tough to see her struggle with things we take for granted. But she does it all with this beautific smile, even after 5 brain surgeries. Just Amazing. She's in Paradise Valley's stroke rehab unit and between the fantastic nurses and my sweet and dedicated bro in law, they're taking excellent care of her. It makes me so thankful for all the blessings I have in my life. Next time we head down south, I'll give you some more notice!

Hey there beautiful butterly lady! I'm heading down your way in the a.m. If you email me tonight I can try to see if your son would like to me to deliver any thing, or if you want/need something in particular I'm happy to bring you a "Tehachapi-style care package"...sorry for the short notice, we've been taking things day-to-day. Either way, email me tonight if you want to try to arrange a meet. My in-laws are very friendly and fun people. It would be great if you could join us in Chula Vista on Sat or Sun afternoonish for food and fun. After we visit our Lala in the hospital we're sure to cook for an army, as is the family custom. - ; ) Sushi

It just stated "sudden illness". That probably means stroke or heart attack.
how did she die?
SPAM: ISUUU
She died on July 19th, I don't have the paper any longer but I'm pretty sure her obit was in the Aug 6 edition.
what date is Miss Kittys obit
