 The suit alleges that Lilly was well aware of the risks of extreme weight gain and diabetes tied to Zyprexa and marketed the drug for off-label uses. Lilly has paid more than $1.1 billion to settle 26,000 product liability claims related to Zyprexa and 1,200 such claims are still pending.
 
As recently as April 2, 2007 a class action lawsuit was filed against Lilly in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. The shareholder suit blames Lilly of making "false and misleading statements" about Zyprexa that helped to artificially inflate the stock. Sales of Zyprexa grew from $3.69 billion to $4.42 billion between 2002 and 2004, and Lilly's stock price increased from $43.75 per share to $76.95 per share between July 18, 2002 and May 7, 2004.
 
With public agencies raising warnings about the safety of Zyprexa, sales of the drug slumped and Lilly's stock price dropped from $76.95 per share to $50.34 per share between May 7, 2004 and October 25, 2004 eroding over $30 billion in market value. ....""

what if you had taken zyprexa after the date they have disclosed to make you ill..like 2005?

a friend of mine was prescribed zyprexa after 2004..can he get a lawyer and sue these people?
