Where is the sincerity?

Listening to politicians or most of the talking heads on TV cannot but remind one of the fellow going on at length to a young woman about his many attributes and finally says to her, “Well, enough about me, let’s talk about me.” Politics abounds with people like this fellow, the worst don’t even seem to realize how embarrassingly insincere they are when attempting to make We the People believe they really care about us.

Ask anyone and they will tell you sincerity means a lot to them when it comes to evaluating character. How is it politicians invariably miss this very important thing to voters? We all take note of the fact politicians in disarray over immigration and Iraq are single-minded about only one thing: Will their decisions come back to haunt them in the next election cycle. None of them are concerned about doing the right thing, none are concerned about what is best for America and We the People, only about the next election. Sincerity is not something anyone would accord any of those in Congress; it is a character defect of the first order among politicians that are infamous for lying to get elected, lying to stay elected, then use elected office as a license to steal, to feather their own nests while living their lives in an insulated world of privilege.

The wonder of it is that so many of these lying, thieving scoundrels from Caesar Bush on down are not killed. To my mind, it is evidence of the Devil taking care of his own. JFK is not the first person that comes to mind when it comes to character, however he was sincere about what was best for America; and this is what probably got him killed while Teddy comes through unscathed to do the Devil’s work like open borders inviting nuclear terrorism here in America. Ah, now we understand the common ground of President Bush and Senator Kennedy. Both are on the Devil’s payroll.

It is patently obvious both Bush and Kennedy have a pro-globalization, pro-wealth, pro-slavery agenda. In fact, it is only on this basis you will find anything of sincerity in them, but it is a sincerity born of evil. However, in the words of The Shadow “the tree of evil bears bitter fruit.”

While most of us like to consider sincerity as a virtue, we know a person can be sincerely wrong. It is when such sincerity is found in suicide bombers for example the evil of such sincerity is made painfully obvious; but the sincerity of those like Bush and Kennedy is no less evil. Political correctness in the MSM that would transform illegal aliens into “immigrants” places America in harm’s way by making those who know the harm “Press one for English” is doing to our nation, want secure borders and illegal aliens expelled from America “racists.” This also is the Devil’s doing, an evil sincerity working to the harm of America.

There is a spirit of truth and a spirit of error; and sincerity alone is not enough to discriminate between the two. No one can doubt fanatical Muslims want to destroy America and Israel, neither can anyone doubt these Muslims are very sincere, but neither can any rational person fail to understand it is an evil sincerity. But Bush and those in Congress are guilty of the very same evil sincerity, having only their own sincerely selfish motives as their agenda, a sincerely selfish agenda that is playing directly into the hands of the enemies of America.

As a writer and author of long years’ experience I have reviewed many manuscripts. Sam Clemens pointed out how disastrous the use of a wrong word; I have noticed the same thing in regard to the lack of sincerity by some writers. I may begin in the most charitable frame of mind toward some writer, and then their choice of a word or phrase may betray them for what they really are, people so self-absorbed and egotistical they don’t notice how they betray themselves. Harper Lee was quite pointed in her criticism of the universities failing to teach writing, and by personal experience I know the truth of her criticism. Certainly as she said a writer writes first to please themselves, not an audience. But if you are writing to communicate with others it is the audience that is important, and if this is not sincerely evident you are not going to have an audience.

Can anyone possibly believe Americans are as stupidly hedonistic as TV and the MSM portrays us? To most of the world that only knows America and Americans by what they see and hear from these sources it makes for a very dangerous situation. This evil of greed and avarice, the utter lack of sincere concern on the part of politicians and MSM for the welfare of America is apparent to the world. But it comes down to who controls the propaganda being disseminated by politicians, TV and the MSM.

Whether by speaking or writing sincerity is an absolute need in order to communicate. The whole world has cause to wonder how those in our government, so many on TV and in the MSM can possibly fail to understand this simple dictum. Just as lovers seek such in each other, in their speech and letters, in just this way We the People have the right to expect those who would speak and write for us to show their sincerity, and the sincerity of truth rather than the sincerity of evil.
