Sharon Beery, candidate for the open seat in the 22nd Congressional District, met local Democrats and a few Republicans last week in a campaign visit to Tehachapi.
After spending the day at local retail stores and restaurants to meet some of the people of Tehachapi, Beery met with a group of Democrats at Kelcy’s restaurant on the evening of April 19 to discuss the issues that affect residents of the 22nd District. She shared her ideas on many important issues, including education, health care, the war in Iraq and the question of making federal income tax cuts permanent.
Beery is the lone Democrat running for the seat and in the general election in November, she will face the winner of the Republican primary to be held in June.
