For those of you who have always wanted to do something special for those in need, consider volunteering some time and compassion to hospice patients and their families. You can give as much or as little time as you are able to give. Optimal Hospice Care of Bakersfield believes that any time you share is a precious gift that is always appreciated.
Volunteers support the families we care for and other hospice efforts in the following ways:
–They provide respite care to overwhelmed caregivers.
–They visit with our patients in facilities.
–They support in-office staff.
–They assist in recruiting and community education efforts.
–They assist in the fundraising efforts of the Optimal Hospice Foundation.
–They donate their professional services to the families we serve. (Hairstylists, gardeners, housekeepers, seamstresses, etc.)
