Beverley Jean Davis, 1942–2018

Beverley Jean Davis, 75, was born July 13, 1942, and died on Feb. 11, 2018. Interment will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 13017 Lopez Canyon Road, Sylmar, Calif., on Feb. 16, 2018, at 1 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Summit Christian Fellowship, 414 S. Curry St., Tehachapi, Calif., on Feb. 17, 2018, at 11 a.m.

She was born to Lillian Marie Adams and James La Mar Tolley in Cincinnati, Ohio. The family moved to California during the war and settled in Chatsworth, Calif., and then Sun Valley, Calif.

Beverley graduated from John H. Polytechnic High School in 1961. In 1962, she married Robert Douglas Langston. They had three children, Deborah, Douglas and Jeannette. In 1983, the family moved from Sylmar, Calif., to Tehachapi, Calif. Robert Douglas Langston died in 1986.

Beverley drove a school bus for the Tehachapi Unified School District and retired after 16 years. She then joined the Volunteer Sheriff’s Department of Kern County. In 2013, she married Larry Davis of McFarland, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and James Tolley; her first husband, Robert Langston; son, Douglas Langston; and grandson, Jacob Langston.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Davis; sisters, Patricia Isaac and Linda (Jimmy) Newman; two daughters, Deborah (John) Smith, and Jeannette Wilhite; grandchildren, Desiree Stavig, Cheyenne Smith, Dakota Smith, Robert Smith, Timothy Wilhite, Amy Langston, Jonathan Langston, Ashley Langston, Samantha Johnson and Zachary Malone; great-grandchildren, Marcus Stavig, Pandora Stavig, Persefonie Stavig, Milo Langston, Harley Bea Couch, Baby Langston due in August; and several nieces and nephews.
