Eva Turmezei, 1940–2018

Eva Turmezei, 1940–2018

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7

Eva Turmezei, 77, went to be with the Lord, her dear Heavenly Father, on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018.

Eva was born on Aug. 29, 1940, in Budapest, Hungary. During the Hungarian Revolution in 1956, by the grace of God, her family had the opportunity to come to the United States when she was 15 years old and start a new life. Four years later, she married Zoltan “Zoli” Turmezei, also from Hungary, on Nov. 29, 1959. They were given the gift of 57 years of marriage.

Eva’s greatest passion was the study of God’s Word and the opportunity to share it with others. She had a great love for people and desired “to serve” in any way she could. She was known to call friends “Sweetie” and often finished with, “Thanks a million!” Her greatest joy came from time spent with her grandchildren and children. However, she also enjoyed gardening and various types of crafting.

Eva is survived by her husband, Zoli; her two sisters, Lia and Kathryn, and their families; her three children, Tim, David and Becky; and her five grandchildren, Christian, Secora, Julia, Rachel and Zachary.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Stallion Springs Church would be greatly appreciated.

Wood Family Funeral Service was entrusted with her care. For condolences please visit www.woodmortuary.net.
