Pete was born in Kitzingen, Germany, on Dec. 1, 1956. On April 29, 1959, at the age of 2 and a half, Pete and his mother came to America to start their new lives, settling in Tehachapi, Calif. He grew up in the small town with his three sisters and brother.

In school at Tehachapi High, he played football, baseball and basketball. He was in science club and Sports Club as well. After high school Pete went to Arizona for trade school at Arizona Tech Institute, where he had perfect attendance. While in Arizona he met Barbara and moved to Bakersfield were they married and had two daughters, Kristy and Lisa.

Pete was a talented mechanic who could fix anything. He enjoyed traveling anytime he could. He traveled with his Mom to Germany and had the opportunity to meet his German family. He had many travels within the states. In his later years he would often drive to Arizona, Texas and Colorado to visit family and friends. It brought him great joy whenever he had family and friends around. He was a grandfather of six who brought him much happiness. He loved being involved and helping others.

Pete was outspoken and a determined person, which was part of his German nature. He loved sharing his adventures on Facebook for everyone to see. Pete was the type of guy who never met a stranger.

He passed away unexpectedly at home on Jan. 23, 2017. Pete was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle, and a good friend to many. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Apostolic Faith Church in Tehachapi, Calif. Please come join us to share your memories.
