Robert (Bobby) Clyde Fassbender, 60, went home to the Lord on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017. He passed on surrounded by family and loved ones at his home in Tehachapi, Calif. Bobby was born on Nov. 27, 1956, in Culver City, Calif., to Robert and Marceline Fassbender and was the oldest of six children.
In his youth, he loved sports and excelled at baseball and football. He also loved horseback riding. As an adult, he worked as a dry waller while opening his home to run a discipleship ministry for men. He loved music and played the guitar, writing and sharing many songs about the Lord. He lived his life, even through many struggles, evangelizing the gospel and bringing others closer to God.
Left to honor Bobby and remember his love are: his wife, Anna Fassbender, who came to know and walk with Jesus through him; his parents, Robert and Marceline Fassbender; his three children, Angela Scoma, Danielle Jurado and Bobby Fassbender; his grandchildren, Brayden, Cruz, Kai, Mason, Nicholas, Lucas, Paisley, Caiden and Bryson; his siblings, Theresa Boyer, Eric Fassbender, Renee Covey, Michael Fassbender and Gregory Fassbender and many nieces and nephews and loved ones.
A burial service was held Nov. 21, 2017, at noon at Westside Cemetery, 920 Enterprise Way, Tehachapi. A celebration of Bobby’s life was held at Calvary Chapel, 15719 Highline Road, followed by a reception.
