Ruth Elizabeth Fisher passed peacefully on Dec. 21, 2016, in her home surrounded by her children.

Ruth was born on Nov. 10, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, to parents George and Elsie Dietz. She grew up in Cleveland where she met and married the love of her life, Clarence Fisher. They later relocated to California in 1959. They were married for 64 years and were an exceptional example of selfless, loving and supportive parents and grandparents.

Ruth was an amazing mother who always put her family and their needs before her own. She devoted her life to raising her children and being a supportive, caring wife to her husband.

Ruth loved spending time doing genealogy research. She and Clarence spent many years together researching their family history. Ruth also enjoyed garden railroad trains, antiquing for her collectibles, caring for her pets and watching the wildlife that were around her home. Most of all, she enjoyed her home and spending time with her family and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence. She is survived by her five children Gail, Bob, Pam, Bill and Jody, along with their spouses and children. Ruth has 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
