In loving memory of Steve Mitchell, who passed away March 29, 2017, at the age of 95.

Steve was born in Kentucky on May 14, 1921. He fought for our country in World War II, and was in the Battle of the Bulge as a machine gunner in the Army. He was a prisoner of war twice, and escaped both times.

Steve met his wife, Jean, in Michigan, and moved to California after the war. He retired from Boeing and moved to Colorado where his wife passed away in 1999. He then moved back to Simi to live with his daughter, Patty, and later moved to Tehachapi with her in 2005.

Steve is survived by his children, Patty Mitchell and her fiance, Patrick McBroom, Tom Mitchell and his wife, Cheryl, Carol Bingham and her husband, Burt; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-gandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many other family members.

A service will be held April 29, at 10 a.m., at St. Julies Catholic Church in Newbury Park.

We miss him and love him so much.
