It is with a sad heart that we say “so long” to William “Bill” Edwards. Born April 7, 1931, Bill left this world Sept. 30, 2017.

We envision him hiking in the hills of Heaven, with his bride Maggie (who passed away in 2015) by his side.

We see him forever sharing his Mark Twain-like life experiences, his jokes, and his hillbillyisms.

With every thunderstorm, our hearts will fill with him. When we hear Johnny, Hank, or Patsy, we will also hear Bill’s voice singing along.

His granddaughter Justyn (Elf) recalls her memories of Bill picking her up from the school bus, a bag of M&Ms in hand. Chatting at home while she did homework and he cooked dinner. Tacos, soup, meatballs. He was the czar of mashed potatoes and gravy. Cooking was Bill’s love language.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you take some time and reach out to the people you care about. Let them know that you are thinking of them and that they are loved.

Wood Family Funeral Service has been entrusted with his care. For condolences please visit www.woodmortuary.net.
