Ma Olga Coy Guerra, 1923 – 2013
Ma Olga Coy Guerra
1923 – 2013
Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed in peace on March 3, 2013 having been well cared for and loved for all her years in Tehachapi as well as at the TVHD/ LTC unit, where she generated her unique brand of friendship and love.
She was born into one of the large founding families of the City of San Antonio, Texas and into the only Texas State recognized tribe; Tap Pilam-Coahuiltecan Nation. She will be returned to her beloved city and interred to the San Fernando II Cemetery. To be surrounded once again by generations of family members that preceded her.
She is survived by generations of family members whom will carry wonderful thoughts and memories of her within our hearts forever.
The Rennick family of Tehachapi, daughter Tonantzin, and her husband W. Anthony; grandchildren, Khishan, and his wife Jeannie, Turquoise and her husband Jose Figueroa, and Emerald Chelina; great-grandchildren Yazmeen, and Niecko, and Naylin Grace. Son, Gilbert Jacobo, and his wife Martha, of San Ysidro, California. Grandsons, Jordon and Gibian; Sisters, Ms. Bertha Gonzales with 51 decedents. Ms. Ma Ester Ortiz-Guerra and her husband Filipe; godson, Jesus Guerra Haime and his wife Chacha.
In humble humor, one may consider as some family members have pointed out, our mother’s personal joy was el huidi-huidi/wedi-wedi! (embellished storytelling)!
A remembrance service to be held on March 29, 2013, from 2-3 p.m. The Service will be officiated by Native American Chaplain, Tonantzin Guerra Rennick. Your presence will be appreciated.
A special “thank you” to all the wonderful staff at TVHD/LTC unit for their genuine tenderness and expert care.
“Ase un bien y no te’ fijes a quien.” Honesty with one’s self leads to compassion for others.
Wood Family Funeral Service, Inc. has been entrusted with her care. For condolences please visit www.woodmortuary.net.
