Richard Joseph Young, 39, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Oct. 6 in his home located in Tehachapi.
Rick was born December 3, 1971, in Two Rivers, Wisc., to Richard and Janice Young. Rick was a loving father, inspiring coach, and supportive friend. He was a wonderful father to his three children and succeeded in the role of grandpa to his first grandson.
Rick was an honorable academic student and the varsity wrestling team captain as a junior and senior for Antelope Valley High School. As a young father, Rick started working at Jaqua and Sons before transferring to Desert Block Company as a plant manager, where he succeeded for the last 20 years.
Rick enjoyed many activities including coaching the Gryphons Club Soccer Team, hiking in the Tehachapi Mountains, riding his motorcycle, and also striving to be the most avid Green Bay Packers fan possible.
Rick was Preceded in death by his father Richard Herman Young. He is survived in death by his mother, Janice Young-Camp, and stepfather, Earl camp, as well as his children: Ashley Connors and husband Logan (grandson Ryker), Kelsey Young and Blake Young.
Also his siblings: Paul Hahn and husband David (kids Justin, Kayla, Lela and Wyatt); step-brother Jason Camp and wife Morena (kids Ricky, Lexi and Gregory) and his significant other Talia Bishop.
Rick’s memorial service was held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Mountain Bible Church in Tehachapi.
