Eathyl Ellene Tamson now dances with the angels. At 78 years of age, she passed away peacefully at home in American Fork, Utah after suffering from cancer for several years.
Eathyl is the daughter of Ellen Iona Cummins Finney and Luther Daniel Finney and is the youngest of eight children. She is survived by her sister Hilda Greschner (George ‘Wally’ Greschner), son Michael Tamson, daughter Melody Ellene Anderson, daughter Melissa Tuttle (Mark Tuttle), her favorite child…her son Alexander Tamson, grandson Nathan Tuttle, granddaughter Alexis Weatherby (Corbin Weatherby), granddaughter Alena Tuttle, grandson Logan Anderson, granddaughter Aliza Tuttle, grandson Porter Anderson and many nieces and nephews. Eathyl also leaves behind many dear friends that she loves as family.
Eathyl has finally been reunited with her sweetheart, Gus Tamson, after being parted for twenty-eight long years. Gus and Eathyl were married Oct. 26, 1957 in St. Louis, Mo. and were sealed for all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on June 14, 1962. She and Gus were professional ballroom dancers and choreographed dances for large public performances.
She has worked in accounting, business management, and marketing. Eathyl has had her own company, an alternative health and beauty spa, and even had her own product line!
She served diligently in the Latter-day Saint church and magnified every calling. She kept her covenants and loves Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as true friends and counselors.
Eathyl and her son with Down Syndrome, Alexander, lived in Stallion Springs for many years before moving to Utah in 2009.

Funeral Services held Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 in American Fork, UT. Interment in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside.
